Learn about our journey, our mission, and the passionate team that drives Mumbai's largest animal welfare movement.
Bezubaan Public Welfare Trust was founded in 2018 by Hema Chowdhary — a Mumbai resident who refused to walk past suffering. What began as one woman going out alone at night with a bag of food has grown into one of Mumbai's most active animal welfare organizations.
The name "Bezubaan" is an Urdu-Hindi word meaning "without voice" or "voiceless." Every dog, cat, cow, and stray animal that suffers in silence — we are here to be their voice. We operate daily feeding drives, emergency rescue operations, free medical camps, sterilization programs, and adoption drives across Mumbai's western suburbs.
Registered under the Indian Trust Act and 80G certified — meaning your donations are eligible for income tax deductions. Every rupee donated is used transparently and directly for animal welfare activities.
To rescue, rehabilitate, and provide medical care and shelter to stray and abandoned animals across Mumbai, while promoting compassion and awareness in communities.
A city where no animal suffers from hunger, disease, or abuse — where every stray dog, cat, and cattle receives dignity, care, and a chance at a safe life.
Compassion, Transparency, Community, Action. We believe in getting things done — not just talking about change but being the change every single day.
