Bruno's Second Chance at Life

<p>Bruno was found lying on the side of the Western Express Highway in Andheri, hit by a vehicle and unable to move his hind legs. Our rescue team received the call at 11 PM and reached the spot within 40 minutes.</p><p>After an emergency X-ray confirmed a fractured pelvis and two broken vertebrae, our veterinary team performed not one but two surgeries over the next 72 hours. Bruno spent three months in our shelter — through physiotherapy, hand-feeding, and daily love from our team.</p><p>Today, Bruno walks, runs, and even chases pigeons. He was adopted by the Sharma family from Bandra in June 2024.</p>

Mishti — The Kitten Who Refused to Give Up

<p>Mishti was found in a garbage dump in Malad — a 4-week-old kitten, severely malnourished and unable to open her eyes. She weighed less than 200 grams when our volunteer found her.</p><p>For the first two weeks, our team syringe-fed Mishti every 3 hours. She was kept under a heat lamp, given antibiotics for an eye infection, and monitored round the clock.</p><p>Mishti defied every odd. She is now a healthy, playful cat who was adopted by the Verma family from Delhi in March 2024.</p>

Gauri — A Mother's Courage

<p>Gauri was a pregnant cow found with a deep gash on her hind leg, limping through traffic on the highway near Goregaon. She was terrified, in pain, and close to giving birth.</p><p>Our team worked carefully to calm her, treat her wound, and transport her safely to our shelter. Within 3 days of arriving, Gauri delivered a healthy male calf.</p><p>Gauri and her calf Gopal now live at a gaushala partner near Thane, healthy and safe.</p>

Kalu — From Cruelty to Love

<p>Kalu was reported to us by a concerned citizen who witnessed children throwing stones at a stray dog in Versova. When we reached, Kalu was cowering under a parked car, bleeding from a head wound, and terrified of humans.</p><p>Beyond the physical injuries, Kalu's trauma was deep. He underwent 6 weeks of behavioural rehabilitation — patience, gentle handling, and trust-building exercises every single day.</p><p>Today, Kalu is one of the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. He was adopted by Aarav, a veterinary student from Andheri.</p>
